2012 Hybrid Seed Return Policy
RiceTec will allow customers to return a maximum of 10% of the customer’s total Spring hybrid seed purchased, with limitations by specific product. Spring Program 2012 purchased seed can be returned under the following guidelines:
Eligibility:
• Unopened Spring Program 2012 purchased mini-bulks (40 unit equivalent) and paper units are eligible.
• Seed must have been purchased at the RiceTec published list price.
• Seed must be returned to Service Partner from where seed was purchased by June 15, 2012.
• Planting at or above hybrid recommended seeding rates is required.
• All unused seed must have been stored in appropriate conditions, protected from weather and rodents, in the original sealed mini-bulks or paper units.
• Opened mini-bulks or paper units cannot be returned under any circumstances.
• Fall Program units are not eligible for returns regardless of package type.
• There must be a signed 2012 Hybrid Rice Seed Sales Agreement to be eligible for return privileges. No cold storage seed will be allowed without a current year order.
• Any seed overtreated with approved insecticidal seed treatments is not eligible for return.
Seed Return Process:
• Seed eligible for return must be in unopened, undamaged, mini-bulks or paper units and returned by June 15, 2012 to the RiceTec Service Partner location from which the seed was purchased.
• All seed must be returned to the Service Partner location no later than June 15th, 2012. Any exceptions must be approved by RiceTec Customer Service in advance and in writing.
• Any seed approved for return by RiceTec on or after June 16th, 2012 until June 22nd, 2012, is subject to a restocking fee of 15% of customers original purchase (invoice) price per each unit returned.
• After June 22nd, 2012, “NO” returns will be accepted.
• Service Partner must prepare a signed “return” ticket showing customer information, units and lot numbers, and send by mail, email or fax to RiceTec’s Customer Services Department within two (2) days after the return is made or seed return is subject to revocation.
Examples:
- If 10 mini-bulks (equivalent 400 paper units) of Clearfield XL745 are purchased in the Fall Program and 40 standard paper units of Clearfield XL745 are purchased in the Spring Program, then 4 paper units of the spring purchase are returnable.
- If 400 paper units (equivalent 10 mini-bulks) are purchased in the Fall Program but none in the Spring Program, then none are returnable.
- If 400 paper units (equivalent 10 mini-bulks) of Clearfield XL745 are purchased in the Fall Program and 50 paper units of Clearfield XL729 are purchased in the Spring Program, then 5 units (10% of Spring) of Clearfield XL729 are returnable, but no Clearfield XL745 can be returned.
Follow Up:
• RiceTec will send a credit invoice to the customer for up to 10% of the eligible units purchased by the customer, net of applicable restocking fees.
• If all stipulations of the return program policy, as stated above, are not complied with by the customer and/or the Service Partner location to which the return is made, RiceTec has the right to refuse the return and/or credit of the account.
