2010 Hybrid Seed Return Program

 

RiceTec will allow customers to return up to a maximum of 10% of the customer’s Spring hybrid seed purchased.  Only Spring Program 2010 purchased seed can be returned under the following guidelines:

 

Eligibility:

 

  • Spring Program 2010 purchased mini-bulks (40 unit equivalent) and paper units are eligible.
  • Seed must have been purchased at the RiceTec published list price.
  • Seed must be returned to Service Partner in a timely manner.
  • Planting at or near hybrid recommended seeding rates is required.
  • All unused seed must have been stored properly in the original sealed mini-bulks or paper units.
  • Opened mini-bulks or paper units cannot be returned under any circumstances.
  • Fall Program units are non-returnable regardless of package type.

 

Seed Return Process:

 

  • Seed eligible for return must be in unopened mini-bulks or paper units and returned immediately after completion of hybrid planting to the RiceTec Service Partner location from which the seed was purchased.
  • All seed must be returned to the Service Partner location no later than July 10th, 2010.  Any exceptions must be approved by RiceTec in advance and in writing.
  • Any seed approved for return by RiceTec after July 10th, 2010, will be assessed a restocking fee of 15% of customers original purchase (invoice) price per each unit returned.
  • After July 31st, 2010, “NO” returns will be accepted.
  • Service Partner must prepare a signed “return” ticket showing customer information, units and lot numbers. 
  • Service Partner must send by mail, email or fax the signed “return” ticket to RiceTec’s Customer Services Department within two (2) days after the return is made.

 

Examples:

    • If 400 paper units (equivalent 10 mini-bulks) of XL723 are purchased in the Fall Program and 40 standard paper units of XL723 are purchased in the Spring Program, then 4 paper units of the spring purchase are returnable.
    • If 400 paper units (equivalent 10 mini-bulks) are purchased in the Fall Program but none in the Spring Program, then none are returnable.
    • If 400 paper units (equivalent 10 mini-bulks) of XL723 are purchased in the Fall Program and 50 paper units of CLEARFIELD XL729 are purchased in the Spring Program, then 5 units (10% of Spring) of CLEARFIELD XL729 are returnable, but no XL723 can be returned.   

 

Follow Up:

 

  • RiceTec will send a credit invoice to the customer for up to 10% of the eligible units purchased by the customer, net of applicable restocking fees.  If the account has already been paid, RiceTec will issue a refund check to the customer for the credit balance within 60 days of the return.
  • If RiceTec is not made aware of the returns, as stipulated above, by the customer or the Service Partner location to which the return was made, RiceTec has the right to refuse the return and/or credit of the account.
